This Privacy Policy explains how Placely ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and services.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, email address, profile picture (provided during registration via Google/Apple).
• Location Data: Precise or approximate location (only with your explicit permission) to display nearby events on the interactive map.
• User-Generated Content (UGC): Event details you create, chat messages, and uploaded photos.
• Technical & Device Data: IP address, device type, OS version, crash logs, and unique device identifiers (such as IDFV or Android ID) to enforce app limits and ensure stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data to provide the Placely service, power the interactive map, facilitate the "Face Control" feature (allowing organizers to review participant requests), enforce usage limits, and process event details through secure third-party AI services to generate descriptions.

3. Information Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the app (e.g., cloud hosting, authentication, AI APIs). If you use the ad-supported version of Placely, non-personally identifiable information may be shared with third-party advertising partners to deliver relevant ads.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this by navigating to Settings -> Account -> Delete Account within the app, or by contacting us.

5. Notice to European (EEA/UK) Users (GDPR)

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA)

Placely is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will take steps to delete such information.

8. Notice to Users in Mainland China (PIPL)

If you are accessing Placely from the People's Republic of China, please note that your data may be processed and stored on servers located outside of China. By using the app, you explicitly consent to this cross-border transfer as required by the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). You have the right to withdraw your consent and deregister your account at any time.
